Hello...from Ethiopia!!!

Hey Family and Friends!

So sorry for the lateness of this message! We've been without power and internet access since we got here on Sunday night. Anyway, I have a rapidly draining battery on our little laptop here, so this will be quick.

Everyone is doing great! So far nobody's sick, everyone is in high spirits, and we're all absolutely loving Ethiopia! We spent Monday getting our bearings, meeting some of the beautiful kiddies (chocolate chips, as Jackie would say), and just generally enjoying each other's company. Today, we've been prepping some lessons, crafts, games, and dramas for a youth rally and VBS this weekend. It's gonna be off the hook! And, this is just the beginning!

Anyway, battery's low, so we're out for now. More soon!

We love you all!!!

  3. To the families of other precious team members,

My daughter Becca emailed from an internet cafe this morning (Colorado time) -it was evening their time (9 hour difference for me). Since we have had little blog information, I thought if anyone gets info it would be great to share with all other concerned families!

Bec said the team has become very close, sharing their testimonies with each other. She said they are learning to depend on the Lord more deeply and she senses they are being held in the palm of God's very strong hands. there has been some in their group who have had some illness, including her, but she did not indicate anyone was seriously ill. It sounds like gastrointestinal stuff. She asked for continued prayer for their health. She sounded very excited to be there.

It was very brief communication but greatly relieved me to hear something! If anyone else has news, please share. Thanks... from a slightly worried, but trying not to be, mom!
