Hello...from Ethiopia!!!

Hey Family and Friends!

So sorry for the lateness of this message! We've been without power and internet access since we got here on Sunday night. Anyway, I have a rapidly draining battery on our little laptop here, so this will be quick.

Everyone is doing great! So far nobody's sick, everyone is in high spirits, and we're all absolutely loving Ethiopia! We spent Monday getting our bearings, meeting some of the beautiful kiddies (chocolate chips, as Jackie would say), and just generally enjoying each other's company. Today, we've been prepping some lessons, crafts, games, and dramas for a youth rally and VBS this weekend. It's gonna be off the hook! And, this is just the beginning!

Anyway, battery's low, so we're out for now. More soon!

{New Blog for our Ethiopian Team}

Hello and welcome!! This blog is for our team and anyone that wants to check in on us while we are away in Ethiopia doing work, God's work that is. Feel free to send the link on to anyone you know that may want to follow our tracks and just be in the know of what we are up to. Just as a quick recap for any new readers, friends or family here is a little of who we are and what we will be up to...

Our team is made up of mostly students from Vanguard University with the exception of a couple of tagalongs :) and we are setting out on a trip to Ethiopia for almost a month. Now for anyone that hasn't brushed up on their geography here is a map for ya.

We will be in Ethiopia working with a couple of orphanages, a women's shelter and a couple of hospitals. We will be sharing the word of God and spreading his love with everyone we meet. We have 3 weeks to really get to know the people we are working with and it will give us a great opportunity to build trust and an impactful relationship with the people in Ethiopia. We have all been preparing for this trip and I know we are all sooo excited to see what God has in store for our team and for each of us individually as well. We would love as many prayers as you can send our way!!

We will try and check in and update the blog as best we can. Internet time and power are not always up and running and we will limited as to how often we can blog but we will do our best to update you as well as entertain you with our stories and experiences on the road!!
